Our Order Process

If you have never ordered a website before, this page is for you. It details the entire process from our first contact to going live so that you know at each stage what to expect from us & what we need from you. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    CONTACT US - Use the Call Me feature on the right & we'll call you straight back...
    Tell us about your requirements, your brand, industry, competitors and target market. We like to know as much as possible so that we can design your website for maximum effectiveness.

    ORDER
    We quote you costs, timescales & spec by email as per our discussions, then you just need to confirm the order in writing or by email. For new clients, we ask for a deposit with the order.

    DESIGN
    We will produce a design proposal for the site which we supply to you as a PDF by email. This usually comprises a homepage and an internal page and normally takes just a few days to deliver.

    APPROVALS
    You then have the opportunity to make an unlimited number of amends so that we get the design exactly how you want it.

    BUILD
    We then make a start on building the web code. At this point it is helpful if you can supply any graphics, images & text - although this can be done in stages if you need time to work on it.

    TESTING
    We build the site on a test server & run it through the different browsers to ensure that it looks & works how it is supposed to for every visitor.

    CHECKS & AMENDS
    As the site nears completion, we provide access to the test server so that you can advise any amendments to be made or, if you ordered a CMS, make them yourself if you prefer.

    GO-LIVE
    Once the site has met all our testing protocols & you are happy with it, we migrate it from the test server to the live server & it appears on the internet. At this point, final payment is then due.
  • What you need to know about...

    SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION
    • The internal search engine optimisation work will have been done during the build, but once the site is live we can do all of the necessary post-launch work.
    • This usually includes registering the site with search engines, creating and uploading a sitemap for the fastest possible listing, launching any advertising campaigns you have ordered etc.
  • What you need to know about...
    ten
    AFTER-CARE
    • We do not then just leave you to it! During the first month you may come across small things that you would like changed or tweaked a bit and we do these at no extra cost to you (providing obviously that they are things covered by the original brief).
    • If a content management system was included, you will be able to do most of the future editing of the site yourself. If not, we recommend you take out a monthly management contract
