SEO simply means making your site perform the best it possibly can in search engine rankings so that you appear as high up the listings as possible for your chosen keywords/phrases. This involves making the site and its contents as accessible and attractive as possible to both search engines & visitors, and continually trying to improve on that performance.

    • Much like human visitors, search engines read the text on your page to work out what your site offers & its relevance to a search term. So make sure that your most important keyphrases appear earliest in the text but try not have too much text on a landing page - 150-200 words is fine.

    • First make a list of all your keywords. Then combine them into 2, 3 or 4-word key phrases before finally ranking those in order of importance & inserting them into your text.
    • Avoid very common phrases, try different combinations, variations in phrasing, plurals, etc.
    • Give each page or section of your site a different set of keyphrases to create good quality landing pages for each of your products or services. We then build these into meta-tags - code which some search engines use to classify a site.
